| Transliteration | Watarakna AAalayhi fee al-akhireena |
| Literal | And We left on him in the others/lasts . |
| Yusuf Ali | And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: |
| Pickthal | And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): |
| Arberry | and We left for him among the later folk |
| Shakir | And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. |
| Sarwar | We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. |
| Khalifa | We preserved his history for subsequent generations. |
