| Transliteration | Hatha yawmu alfasli allathee kuntum bihi tukaththiboona |
| Literal | That (is) the Judgment Day/Separation Day/Resurrection Day which you were with it lying/denying/falsifying. |
| Yusuf Ali | (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" |
