Transliteration | Wama kana lana AAalaykum min sultanin bal kuntum qawman tagheena |
Literal | And (there) was not from power/control for us over you, but you were a tyrannizing/arrogant nation. |
Yusuf Ali | "Nor had we any authority over you. Nay, it was ye who were a people in obstinate rebellion! |
