| 56:47 وكانوا يقولون ائذا متنا وكنا ترابا وعظاما ائنا لمبعوثون | |
| Transliteration | Wakanoo yaqooloona a-itha mitna wakunna turaban waAAithaman a-inna lamabAAoothoona |
| Literal | And they were saying: "Is (it that) if we died, and we were dust/earth and bones, are we being resurrected/revived?" |
| Yusuf Ali | And they used to say, "What! when we die and become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be raised up again?- |
