| Transliteration | Walaqad AAalimtumu alnnash-ata al-oola falawla tathakkaroona |
| Literal | And you had (E) known the creation/origination , the first/beginning, so if only you mention/remember ? |
| Yusuf Ali | And ye certainly know already the first form of creation: why then do ye not celebrate His praises? |
