| 59:3 ولولا ان كتب الله عليهم الجلاء لعذبهم في الدنيا ولهم في الاخرة عذاب النار | |
| Transliteration | Walawla an kataba Allahu AAalayhimu aljalaa laAAaththabahum fee alddunya walahum fee al-akhirati AAathabu alnnari |
| Literal | Where it not for that (E) God wrote/decreed the departure/moving out on them, He would have tortured them in the present world, and for them in the end (other life is) the fire's torture. |
| Yusuf Ali | And had it not been that Allah had decreed banishment for them, He would certainly have punished them in this world: And in the Hereafter they shall (certainly) have the Punishment of the Fire. |
| Pickthal | And if Allah had not decreed migration for them, He verily would have punished them in the world, and theirs in the Hereafter is the punishment of the Fire. |
