| Transliteration | Walaw taqawwala AAalayna baAAda al-aqaweeli |
| Literal | And if (the messenger) made false statements on Us (on Our behalf) some (of) the sayings/beliefs . |
| Yusuf Ali | And if the messenger were to invent any sayings in Our name, |
