| 7:130 ولقد اخذنا ال فرعون بالسنين ونقص من الثمرات لعلهم يذكرون | |
| Transliteration | Walaqad akhathna ala firAAawna bialssineena wanaqsin mina alththamarati laAAallahum yaththakkaroona |
| Literal | And We had taken Pharaoh's family with the years (drought), and reduction (deficiency) from the fruits, maybe/perhaps they mention/remember . |
| Yusuf Ali | We punished the people of Pharaoh with years (of droughts) and shortness of crops; that they might receive admonition. |
| Pickthal | And we straitened Pharaoh's folk with famine and dearth of fruits, that peradventure they might heed. |
