| Transliteration | Alssamao munfatirun bihi kana waAAduhu mafAAoolan |
| Literal | The sky/space is split/cleaved with (by) it, His promise was/is made/done. |
| Yusuf Ali | Whereon the sky will be cleft asunder? His Promise needs must be accomplished. |
