Transliteration | Bal yureedu al-insanu liyafjura amamahu |
Literal | Rather the human/mankind wants to debauch/corrupt in front of him. |
Yusuf Ali | But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. |
Pickthal | But man would fain deny what is before him. |
Arberry | Nay, but man desires to continue on as a libertine, |
Shakir | Nay! man desires to give the lie to what is before him. |
