| Transliteration | Wama tashaoona illa an yashaa Allahu inna Allaha kana AAaleeman hakeeman |
| Literal | And you do not will/want except that (E) God wills/wants/intends, that truly God was/is knowledgeable, wise/judicious. |
| Yusuf Ali | But ye will not, except as Allah wills; for Allah is full of Knowledge and Wisdom. |
