| Transliteration | Yawma yatathakkaru al-insanu ma saAAa |
| Literal | A day/time the human/mankind remembers/recites what he strived/endeavored . |
| Yusuf Ali | The Day when man shall remember (all) that he strove for, |
| Pickthal | The day when man will call to mind his (whole) endeavour, |
| Arberry | upon the day when man shall remember what he has striven, |
| Shakir | The day on which man shall recollect what he strove after, |
| Sarwar | the human being will recall whatever he has done. |
| Khalifa | That is the day when the human will remember everything he did. |
