| Transliteration | Kalla lamma yaqdi ma amarahu |
| Literal | No/but he did not (E) accomplish/execute what He ordered/commanded him. |
| Yusuf Ali | By no means hath he fulfilled what Allah hath commanded him. |
| Pickthal | Nay, but (man) hath not done what He commanded him. |
| Arberry | No indeed! Man has not accomplished His bidding. |
| Shakir | Nay; but he has not done what He bade him. |
| Sarwar | Certainly, he has not duly fulfilled His commands. |
| Khalifa | He shall uphold His commandments. |
| Hilali/Khan | Nay, but (man) has not done what He commanded him. |
| H/K/Saheeh | No! Man has not yet accomplished what He commanded him. |
