| Transliteration | Wa-itha raawhum qaloo inna haola-i ladalloona |
| Literal | And when/if they saw them they said: "That truly, those are misguided (E)." |
| Yusuf Ali | And whenever they saw them, they would say, "Behold! These are the people truly astray!" |
| Pickthal | And when they saw them they said: Lo! these have gone astray. |
