| Transliteration | Bala inna rabbahu kana bihi baseeran |
| Literal | Yes/certainly, that truly his Lord was seeing/knowing with (of) him. |
| Yusuf Ali | Nay, nay! for his Lord was (ever) watchful of him! |
| Pickthal | Nay, but lo! his Lord is ever looking on him! |
