| Transliteration | Wajee-a yawma-ithin bijahannama yawma-ithin yatathakkaru al-insanu waanna lahu alththikra |
| Literal | And came (on) that day with Hell ; that day the human/mankind remembers/mentions , and from where (is) for him the remembrance/reminder? |
| Yusuf Ali | And Hell, that Day, is brought (face to face),- on that Day will man remember, but how will that remembrance profit him? |
| Pickthal | And hell is brought near that day; on that day man will remember, but how will the remembrance (then avail him)? |
