| Transliteration | Fayawma-ithin la yuAAaththibu AAathabahu ahadun |
| Literal | So (on) that day no one tortures His torture. |
| Yusuf Ali | For, that Day, His Chastisement will be such as none (else) can inflict, |
| Pickthal | None punisheth as He will punish on that day! |
| Arberry | Upon that day none shall chastise as He chastises, |
| Shakir | But on that day shall no one chastise with (anything like) His chastisement, |
| Sarwar | On that day the punishment of God and His detention will be unparalleled. |
