| Transliteration | Waamma alssa-ila fala tanhar |
| Literal | And as for the asker/questioner/beggar , so do not yell at/drive away . |
| Yusuf Ali | Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); |
| Pickthal | Therefor the beggar drive not away, |
| Arberry | and as for the beggar, scold him not; |
