99:1 سورة الزلزلة بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ٛــــ اذا زلزلت الارض زلزالها |

Transliteration | Itha zulzilati al-ardu zilzalaha |
Literal | When/if the earth/Planet Earth shook/trembled its shaking/trembling/earthquake. |

|
Yusuf Ali | When the earth is shaken to her (utmost) convulsion, |
Pickthal | When Earth is shaken with her (final) earthquake |
Arberry | When earth is shaken with a mighty shaking |
Shakir | When the earth is shaken with her (violent) shaking, |
Sarwar | When the earth is shaken by a terrible quake |
Khalifa | When the earth is severely quaked. |
Hilali/Khan | When the earth is shaken with its (final) earthquake. |

99:2 واخرجت الارض اثقالها |

Transliteration | Waakhrajati al-ardu athqalaha |
Literal | And the earth/Planet Earth brought out its loads/weights . |

Yusuf Ali | And the earth throws up her burdens (from within), |
Pickthal | And Earth yieldeth up her burdens, |
Arberry | and earth brings forth her burdens, |
Shakir | And the earth brings forth her burdens, |
Sarwar | and it throws out its burden, |
Khalifa | And the earth ejects its loads. |
Hilali/Khan | And when the earth throws out its burdens, |
H/K/Saheeh | And the earth discharges its burdens |
Malik | and the earth shall bring out all her inner burdens,[2] |
QXP | And the earth yields up her burdens. (Archaeology and mining will make long strides. The heavy tyrants will be thrown out of power). |

99:3 وقال الانسان مالها |
|
|
Transliteration | Waqala al-insanu ma laha |
Literal | And the human/mankind said: "What (is) for it (what is wrong with it)?" |

Yusuf Ali | And man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her?'- |
Pickthal | And man saith: What aileth her? |
Arberry | and Man says., 'What ails her?' |
Shakir | And man says: What has befallen her? |
Sarwar | the human being will say (in horror), "What is happening to it?". |
Khalifa | The human will wonder: "What is happening?" |
Hilali/Khan | And man will say: "What is the matter with it?" |
H/K/Saheeh | And man says, "What is [wrong] with it?" |
Malik | man shall say: "What is happening to her?"[3] |
QXP | And mankind cries out, "What has happened to her?" (People will be stunned at the speed of unfolding events). |
Maulana Ali | And man says: What has befallen her? |
Free Minds | And man will Say: "What is wrong with it?" |
Qaribullah | and the human asks: "What is the matter with it?" |

99:4 يومئذ تحدث اخبارها |

Transliteration | Yawma-ithin tuhaddithu akhbaraha |
Literal | That day it tells/informs (about) its news/information/knowledge. |

|
Yusuf Ali | On that Day will she declare her tidings: |
Pickthal | That day she will relate her chronicles, |
Arberry | upon that day she shall tell her tidings |
Shakir | On that day she shall tell her news, |
Sarwar | On that day the earth will declare all (the activities of the human being) which have taken place on it, |
Khalifa | On that day, it will tell its news. |
Hilali/Khan | That Day it will declare its information (about all what happened over it of good or evil). |
H/K/Saheeh | That Day, it will report its news |
Malik | On that Day she shall report whatever had happened on her,[4] |
QXP | At that time she will relate her stories. (History of benevolent revolutions will repeat itself on a massive scale). |
Maulana Ali | On that day she will tell her news, |
Free Minds | On that Day it will inform its news. |
Qaribullah | On that Day it shall proclaim its news, |

99:5 بان ربك اوحى لها |

Transliteration | Bi-anna rabbaka awha laha |
Literal | With that your Lord inspired/transmitted to it. |
|
|
Yusuf Ali | For that thy Lord will have given her inspiration. |
Pickthal | Because thy Lord inspireth her. |
Arberry | for that her Lord has inspired her. |
Shakir | Because your Lord had inspired her. |
Sarwar | having been inspired by your Lord. |
Khalifa | That your Lord has commanded it. |
Hilali/Khan | Because your Lord has inspired it. |
H/K/Saheeh | Because your Lord has commanded it. |
Malik | for your Lord shall have commanded her to do so.[5] |
QXP | For your Lord will have sent His Command to her. (Progressive unfolding of the Divine Decree). |
Maulana Ali | As if thy Lord had revealed to her. |
Free Minds | That your Lord had inspired it to do so. |
Qaribullah | for your Lord will have revealed to it. |

az-Zalzalah 099:006
99:6 يومئذ يصدر الناس اشتاتا ليروا اعمالهم |

Transliteration | Yawma-ithin yasduru alnnasu ashtatan liyuraw aAAmalahum |
Literal | That day, the people proceed/arise separately to see their deeds. |
|
|
Yusuf Ali | On that Day will men proceed in companies sorted out, to be shown the deeds that they (had done). |
Pickthal | That day mankind will issue forth in scattered groups to be shown their deeds. |
Arberry | Upon that day men shall issue in scatterings to see their works, |
Shakir | On that day men shall come forth in sundry bodies that they may be shown their works. |
Sarwar | On that day, people will come out of their graves in different groups to see (the results of) their own deeds. |
Khalifa | On that day, the people will issue from every direction, to be shown their works. |
Hilali/Khan | That Day mankind will proceed in scattered groups that they may be shown their deeds. |
H/K/Saheeh | That Day, the people will depart separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds. |
Malik | On that Day men shall proceed in sorted out groups to be shown their ‘Book of Deeds.’[6] |
QXP | On that Day will all people come forth as separate entities, to be shown their deeds. (The guilty will stand apart from the innocent. (36:59)). |
Maulana Ali | On that day men will come forth in sundry bodies that they may be shown their works. |
Free Minds | On that Day, the people will be brought out in throngs to be shown their works. |
Qaribullah | On that Day mankind shall issue in scatterings to see their deeds. |

99:7 فمن يعمل مثقال ذرة خيرا يره |

Transliteration | Faman yaAAmal mithqala tharratin khayran yarahu |
Literal | So who makes/does a smallest particle of anything (smaller than an atom's) weight (of) good sees it. |

|
Yusuf Ali | Then shall anyone who has done an atom's weight of good, see it! |
Pickthal | And whoso doeth good an atom's weight will see it then, |
Arberry | and whoso has done an atom's weight of good shall see it, |
Shakir | So. he who has done an atom's weight of good shall see it |
Sarwar | Whoever has done an atom's weight of good, |
Khalifa | Whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it. |
Hilali/Khan | So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. |
H/K/Saheeh | So whoever does an atomâ s weight of good will see it, |
Malik | Then, whoever has done an atom’s weight of good shall see it there,[7] |

99:8 ومن يعلم مثقال ذرة شرا يره |

Transliteration | Waman yaAAmal mithqala tharratin sharran yarahu |
Literal | And who makes/does a smallest particle of anything (smaller than an atom's) weight (of) bad/evil sees it.475 |

|
Yusuf Ali | And anyone who has done an atom's weight of evil, shall see it. |
Pickthal | And whoso doeth ill an atom's weight will see it then. |
Arberry | and whoso has done an atom's weight of evil shall see it. |
Shakir | And he who has done an atom's weight of evil shall see it. |
Sarwar | will see it and whoever has done an atom's weight of evil, will also see it. |
Khalifa | And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it. |
Hilali/Khan | And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. |
H/K/Saheeh | And whoever does an atomâ s weight of evil will see it. |
Malik | and whoever has done an atom’s weight of evil shall see it there.[8] |
QXP | And whoever has done an atom's weight of evil, will see it. (The Justice system will improve on earth. And, finally, the Day of Judgment will deliver the Divine Justice). |

Qaribullah | and whosoever has done an atom's weight of evil shall see it. |
