Literal | A day/time they are being called repeatedly to Hell's fire , repelling/pushing away violently and roughly. |

Transliteration | Islawha faisbiroo aw la tasbiroo sawaon AAalaykum innama tujzawna ma kuntum taAAmaloona |
Literal | Roast/suffer it , so be patient or do not be patient, (it is) equal/alike on (to) you, but/truly you are being reimbursed what you were making/doing. |

Yusuf Ali | "Burn ye therein: the same is it to you whether ye bear it with patience, or not: Ye but receive the recompense of your (own) deeds." |

52:17 ان المتقين في جنات ونعيم |

Literal | That truly the fearing and obeying (are) in treed gardens/paradises and blessing/comfort and ease . |

Yusuf Ali | As to the Righteous, they will be in Gardens, and in Happiness,- |
Pickthal | Lo! those who kept their duty dwell in gardens and delight, |
Arberry | Surely the godfearing shall be in gardens and bliss, |

Transliteration | Fakiheena bima atahum rabbuhum wawaqahum rabbuhum AAathaba aljaheemi |
Literal | Enjoying/joyful with what their Lord gave them, and their Lord protected them (from) the Hell's torture. |

Yusuf Ali | Enjoying the (Bliss) which their Lord hath bestowed on them, and their Lord shall deliver them from the Penalty of the Fire. |

Literal | Eat and drink pleasurable/tasty because (of) what you were making/doing . |

Yusuf Ali | (To them will be said:) "Eat and drink ye, with profit and health, because of your (good) deeds." |
Pickthal | (And it is said unto them): Eat and drink in health (as a reward) for what ye used to do, |

Transliteration | Waallatheena amanoo waittabaAAat-hum thurriyyatuhum bi-eemanin alhaqna bihim thurriyyatahum wama alatnahum min AAamalihim min shay-in kullu imri-in bima kasaba raheenun |
Literal | And those who believed and their descendants followed them with faith/belief, We made their descendants catch up/follow with them, and We did not reduce/diminish them from a thing from their deeds , each/every human with what he gained/won (is) accountable . |

52:24 ويطوف عليهم غلمان لهم كانهم لؤلؤ مكنون |

Transliteration | Wayatoofu AAalayhim ghilmanun lahum kaannahum lu/luon maknoonun |
Literal | And servants/boys for them, circle/walk around on them, as if they are protected/covered pearls. |

Yusuf Ali | Round about them will serve, (devoted) to them, young male servants (handsome) as Pearls well-guarded. |

Literal | So remind, so you are not with your Lord's blessing with a fortune teller/highly ranked priest or rabbi ,and nor mad/insane. |

Yusuf Ali | Therefore proclaim thou the praises (of thy Lord): for by the Grace of thy Lord, thou art no (vulgar) soothsayer, nor art thou one possessed. |

Asad | AND YET, if they [who refuse to see the truth] were to see part of the sky falling down, they would [only] say, "[It is but] a mass of clouds!" |
at-Tur 052:045
52:45 فذرهم حتى يلاقوا يومهم الذي فيه يصعقون |

Transliteration | Fatharhum hatta yulaqoo yawmahumu allathee feehi yusAAaqoona |
Literal | So leave them until they meet/find their day/time which in it they die/get thunderstruck . |

Yusuf Ali | So leave them alone until they encounter that Day of theirs, wherein they shall (perforce) swoon (with terror),- |
Pickthal | Then let them be (O Muhammad), till they meet their day, in which they will be thunder-stricken, |
Arberry | Then leave them, till they encounter their day wherein they shall be thunderstruck, |

Literal | A day/time their plotting/conspiracy does not enrich/suffice from them a thing, and nor they be given victory/aid. |

Yusuf Ali | The Day when their plotting will avail them nothing and no help shall be given them. |
Pickthal | A day in which their guile will naught avail them, nor will they be helped. |

52:47 وان للذين ظلموا عذابا دون ذلك ولكن اكثرهم لايعلمون |

Transliteration | Wa-inna lillatheena thalamoo AAathaban doona thalika walakinna aktharahum la yaAAlamoona |
Literal | And that truly to those who were unjust/oppressive (is) a torture other than that, and but most of them do not know. |

Yusuf Ali | And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment besides this: But most of them understand not. |
Pickthal | And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a punishment beyond that. But most of them know not. |
Arberry | And there surely awaits the evildoers a chastisement beyond even that, but most of them know it not. |
Shakir | And surely those who are unjust shall have a punishment besides that (in the world), but most of them do not know. |
Sarwar | The unjust will suffer other torments besides this but most of them do not know. |
Khalifa | Those who transgress suffer retribution here, but most of them do not know. |

H/K/Saheeh | And indeed, for those who have wronged is a punishment before that, but most of them do not know. |
Malik | Surely for such wrongdoers, there is another punishment besides that, even though most of them do not realize that.[47] |
QXP | And verily, for oppressors, violators of human rights and those who relegate the Truth, there is a punishment beyond that. But most of them know not. (Their wrongdoing hurts their own "Self"). |
Maulana Ali | And surely for those who do wrong there is a chastisement besides that; but most of them know not. |
Free Minds | And for those who transgressed will be a retribution beyond this, but most of them do not know. |
Qaribullah | For the harmdoers there is indeed, a punishment before that, but most of them do not know. |

[As in 32:21, the Quran stresses here the fact that every evil deed is bound to react in some way or other, even in this world, against him who commits it - either by depriving him of the affection of those who surround him and, thus, deepening his inner loneliness, or, more directly, by creating circumstances which make the achievement of real happiness and satisfaction increasingly impossible.] |
at-Tur 052:048
52:48 واصبر لحكم ربك فانك باعيننا وسبح بحمد ربك حين تقوم |

Transliteration | Waisbir lihukmi rabbika fa-innaka bi-aAAyunina wasabbih bihamdi rabbika heena taqoomu |
Literal | And be patient for your Lord's judgment/rule, so that you are with Our eyes/sights, and praise/glorify with your Lord's praise/gratitude when you stand/get up . |

Yusuf Ali | Now await in patience the command of thy Lord: for verily thou art in Our eyes: and celebrate the praises of thy Lord the while thou standest forth, |

Arberry | And be thou patient under the judgment of thy Lord; surely thou art before Our eyes. And proclaim the praise of thy Lord when thou arisest, |

Hilali/Khan | So wait patiently (O Muhammad SAW) for the Decision of your Lord, for verily, you are under Our Eyes , and glorify the Praises of your Lord when you get up from sleep. |
H/K/Saheeh | And be patient, [O Muúammad], for the decision of your Lord, for indeed, you are in Our eyes. And exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord when you arise. |
Malik | Therefore, wait for the Judgment of your Lord with patience, We are surely watching over you. Glorify your Lord with His praises when you wake up,[48] |
QXP | And so, (O Messenger) work patiently to establish the Rule of your Lord, for, behold, you are in Our eyes. Begin your day with a firm resolve and work to manifest the Praise of your Lord. |
Maulana Ali | And wait patiently for the judgment of thy Lord, for surely thou art before Our eyes, and celebrate the praise of thy Lord, when thou risest, |
Free Minds | You shall be patient for the judgement of your Lord, for you are in Our sights, and glorify the praise of your Lord when you get up. |

Literal | And from the night so praise/glorify Him, and (at) the star's/planet's passings/ends (settings).389 |

Yusuf Ali | And for part of the night also praise thou Him,- and at the retreat of the stars! |
Pickthal | And in the night-time also hymn His praise, and at the setting of the stars. |
